Course Description

Sleep is essential for a baby and child's health, development, and emotional well-being, yet sleep difficulties are common, leaving many families struggling to find the right support.

This one-day sleep awareness workshop provides health professionals with up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge on children’s sleep needs, patterns, and cycles, as well as common behavioural sleep challenges in children aged 6 months to 6 years.

Designed to enhance both theoretical and practical understanding, the workshop equips professionals with the confidence and skills to support parents struggling with their child’s sleep. It covers comprehensive sleep assessment techniques, including sleep history and sleep diary use, and introduces evidence-based interventions to promote healthy sleep habits.

Through an engaging, interactive format, delegates will explore key sleep challenges, such as bedtime resistance, night wakings, and early rising, while learning gentle, responsive approaches to improving sleep.

Accredited for 6 CPD hours, this training provides practical strategies that professionals can apply immediately in their daily practice, empowering families with effective sleep support.
