This training course, in collaboration with Millpond Sleep Clinic, is designed for anyone who is struggling with their sleep and wants to learn effective and evidence-based methods to get themselves sleeping better. Delegates who work shifts, have stressful responsibilities which impact their sleep, or have roles where performance is important, will benefit particularly.
Sleep is an essential pillar of health and wellbeing, but modern life can make this difficult to achieve. More than 10% of adults struggle with insomnia at any time, and this rate is higher in roles associated with high stress or shift work.
And we all know how it feels when we haven’t slept well - not only does it affect our energy levels, concentration and mood, but can also put strain on your personal relationship, reduce our productivity at work, and make it more likely that we have an accident.
This course will teach the scientific background to sleep including what it is, and how it is controlled. It will explore the relationship of stress and sleep, and explain the impact of shiftwork on a healthy sleep routine. Delegates will leave the course understanding their sleep and equipped with evidence-based methods to get their sleep back on track.
