DiSC Assessments

A powerful personality assessment for personal and team development

DiSC is a behavioural assessment tool that helps individuals understand their communication styles and preferences. It provides a framework for individuals to identify their natural tendencies and adapt their communication strategies to connect more effectively with others.

What is DiSC?

DiSC is a behavioural assessment tool that helps individuals understand their communication styles and preferences. It provides a framework for individuals to identify their natural tendencies and adapt their communication strategies to connect more effectively with others.

DiSC is the acronym for the 4 personality profiles that it uses to breakdown your personality type, these are:

  - Dominance: These people tend to be more confident assertive, often competitive and results-oriented. They thrive heavily in challenging environments     and are motivated by achieving their goals. They can easily take charge in situations where it is needed and don't shy away from making decisions.

  - Influence: People who score high in Influence tend to be more open, outgoing, enthusiastic, persuasive and focus on relationships with others. They are often very charismatic and thrive in social settings as they are competent in persuasion, negotiation, inspiration and motivation. They value collaborative environments.

  - Steadiness: Individuals with high steadiness scores tend to be dependable, calm, patient, reliable and are often more helpful. They prefer stable work and personal environments and are excellent listeners. They thrive in team environments where they can provide support and maintain harmony.

  - Conscientiousness: High scores of conscientiousness indicate that the individual is analytical, detail-oriented, organised and systematic. They are motivated by tasks where accuracy and precision are necessary, often focusing on quality, standards and planning.

How does DiSC work?

The DiSC tool can be used within multiple areas of development, like workplace culture, team building, personal development, leadership and management training, conflict resolution, recruitment, sales and more. Like other personality and psychometric tools, DiSC uses colours to differentiate each personality profile.

You and your team will take a short test, around 15 minutes where it asks you questions to determine which personality type you most associate with.

It does not aim to give you one "personality type" and tell you that this is where you “fit”; it provides you with comprehensive visual data to show you how you measured on each personality area. You can use this to influence personal development and learning strategies for yourself and your team.

For example, here are a few examples of what visual data may look like.
