Content as a Service – CaaS – is simply the provision of e-learning content that can be used on your Learning Management System (LMS) or via the provider’s platform.

This term is a development of Saas – Software as a Service – the business model where customers pay to use software hosted on a remote computer, a phenomenon that emerged in the 1960s and has become commonplace with cloud computing.
